Getting to Cartagena

BY PLANE
Cartagena has national and international air, sea and land connections. It is served by the International Airport of the Region of Murcia, located 20 minutes from the city, and the International Airport of Alicante, 60 minutes away from the city centre.

BY TRAIN
Cartagena offers direct train lines to/from destinations such as Valencia, Madrid and Barcelona.

High-speed connections: Alicante Renfe Station, which is a one hour transfer away from Cartagena via the A-7 and AP-7.

AVE (HST) trains to/from Orihuela connect with Murcia del Carmen and Cartagena stations through a shuttle service -approx. 1 hour and 20 minutes- or a 30 minute transfer to Cartagena.

BY CAR ROAD
The dual Mediterranean motorways (A-7 and AP-7) connect Cartagena to the entire Mediterranean arc, towards both Andalusia and Catalonia. The A-30 (Murcia Motorway) and the A-3 (Eastern Motorway) link the city to the interior of the peninsula. The bus network connects to the main Spanish cities and all the Region of Murcia.
