While the private sector may supply the engine and fuel that drive trade, it is international commercial diplomacy that provides the network of roads along which trade can freely circulate, along with the rules that govern the flow of goods and services.
Consequently, it is up to both the public and private sectors to work together to ensure that commerce remains a key vehicle of economic development and its potential is fully exploited.
Forum Cartagena aims to enlighten this path through a dynamic dialogue involving the diplomatic community –the rule setter–, the private sector –the engine of economic growth–, and international organisations –guidance and assistance providers for the entire commerce community.
